Along the road to discovery Jim has benefitted from classes under the brush of Jack Reid, Donna Kreikle, Elaine Seis , Arlie Hoffman, John Molnar , Linda Kemp, Bryan Atyeo, Michael Lonechild, Carl Schlademan, Huang Zhong Yang, Grant Fuller and three years of personal tutoring by Agnes Almar. Jim has traveled very extensively in the world and enjoys painting florals and landscapes.

Former Exhibits & Press : To the present, Jim has not had any showing of his work. Public viewings have been limited to Guild shows and sales. This website displays some of his work.
Inspiration
Inspiration & Technique: I am inspired by the world in which I am blessed to live. When my first wife was alive, we travelled extensively through the world, drinking in and photographing its splendours and beauties. I remarried seven years ago and we are again enjoying the wonders of travel. Together, Cheryl and I have designed and built a beautiful perennial garden on our corner lot, grounded with a large wonderful water fountain. Our border collie "Jake" and I are constantly in the "garden' reading, drinking in the beauty, enjoying the colour, the birds and the sounds. We live in an abudance of inspiration.
