Every day, our group of 20 artists would drive out to a different site in the Grand Tetons' National Park. Jim would be ahead of us and would have chosen his spot for doing his instructive painting. We would watch as his outline took shape and was transformed into a beautiful painting. Questions were asked and answered and then it was time for us to source out our site and start our rendering. Both Jim and other artists came around and offered help, ideas and encouragement as we sweltered in the 30 degreee temperature. This painting is my rendering of the Beaver Pond, our first site on Monday.
